[case a] Profile & Origin by Domino [note] Okay, here's my character profiling for Irvine Kinneas. This is pure speculation, so feel free to bash it and/or praise it. It's also a BIG spoiler to the second half of my fic "Skeletons", in which the first part is floating around the web. Here's what I got: Irvine, Kinneas Now, to the good stuff! During the end of her reign, the Sorceress Adel attempted to disguise herself from her attackers by the forbidden sorceress art of shape-shifting. Soon she became a beautiful, but lowly handmaiden. Her eyes were a haunting greyish green, and her hair a rich auburn. As the Galbadian soldiers attacked, she was "rescued" by the troop's leader, Gen. Vernon Kinneas. Since the Sorceress couldn't be found, the soldiers left to rest up for another battle. Their love instantly bloomed, despite Adel being incredibly hateful deep down. Soon the lovely young woman was pregnant, but her true side emerged when she learned her child was to be a boy. Adel went mad beyond belief, changing back to her sorceress form and mortally wounding her lover. Adel hid her pregnancy from Esthar, but her judgment was waning. Several of her prisoners, including former Galbadian soldier Laguna Loire, decided to plot against her and eventually succeeded by launching the evil sorceress into space. Shortly after Laguna became president, news surfaced about a Galbadian general who was dying in one of Esthar's hospitals. It was Vernon Kinneas.... The man revealed that Adel was pregnant with his child, and she was reaching her final weeks before giving birth when she was launched. He asked Laguna to rescue his son, and, as his dying wish, to name him for his grandfather: Irvine. With that the general passed away... Laguna and his friends went to the satellite and commanded what was to be the largest, and most secretive, operation in Estharian history. Within a couple of days Adel was opened up without being awakened and the space team successfully delivered a healthy baby boy. Laguna honored Vernon's wishes and named him Irvine. Deciding on how to raise him, however, wasn't so simple. A few months after Irvine was born, Laguna decided that it was best to send him to the Centra continent. He didn't want the child to be hunted down because he was Adel's son. Soon Irvine arrived at the orphanage, not knowing who his parents were, except for a large, dark, tribal tattoo expanding across his back, barely kissing the ends of his shoulders. Irvine spent his first years with the other children in the orphanage. He was well-liked, but the only odd quirk was Edea insisted that he'd bathe alone. At the age of six he was adopted by a loving family who enrolled him at Galbadia Garden at the age of 10. At this time it is unknown whether or not Irvine Kinneas knows who his parents are. Phew... how's that for profiling? I'd like to give credit to Seiya Kou and Sniffles for some of these ideas. ^_^ |
